  The exposure machine is a new lithography technology developed from the scanning electron microscope foundation in the early 1960s. It has been widely used in semiconductor circuit board manufacturing since the 1970s. The exposure machine is an electronic string exposure machine, which is a complex semiconductor processing equipment integrating electronic optics, mechanical, vacuum, electrical, and computer technologies.

  Basic working principle of exposure machine:

  Under the control of a computer, an organic polymer (commonly called an electronic resist or photoresist) is exposed using a focused electron beam. The physical and chemical properties of the photoresist exposed to the electron beam change. The formation of well-soluble or non-well-soluble regions in the solvent results in fine patterns on the resist. The exposure energy of the upper and lower light sources is determined according to the thickness of the circuit of the circuit board. The circuit board cannot be exposed if the energy is insufficient. If the energy is too high, the circuit board will be overexposed. Thus, the exposure production of the circuit board is performed.
