  UVLED point, line, and area light sources are currently used in various industries, which is also an inevitable trend for UVLED light sources to replace traditional UV mercury lamps. Below we analyze the difference between UVLED light source and UV mercury lamp from five aspects: service life, heat radiation, irradiation intensity, environmental protection and energy consumption:

  1. Service life

  Traditional UV curing systems use UV mercury lamps for curing. The general service life of UV mercury lamps is that bulbs must be replaced within 1000-3000 hours, while the curing life of UVLED light source curing systems can reach 30,000-40000 hours without the need for Replace the lamp. The UVLED method can be lit only momentarily when ultraviolet rays are needed. When DUIY = 1/5 (preparation time = 5 irradiation time = 1), the LED method has a service life equivalent to 30-40 times that of the mercury lamp method. The work efficiency is greatly improved, and it is also very energy efficient. The traditional UV mercury lamp curing system requires slow startup (not instantaneous lighting).   Second, heat radiation

  High-power light-emitting diodes do not generate thermal radiation. They are emitted in a pure ultraviolet band, and the surface temperature of the irradiated product rises below 5 ° C, thereby improving the qualification rate of the product. For the traditional UV mercury lamp curing system, which is not pure ultraviolet band, a large number of infrared bands are sandwiched in the middle, which will increase the surface temperature of the product by 60-90 ° C, shift the positioning of the product, and produce a large number of defective products. The UVLED curing method is most suitable for thermally sensitive, ink printing, and high-precision bonding process requirements such as plastic substrates, lens bonding and electronic products, fiber optic cables.

  Third, super strong illumination

  UVLED adopts high-power LED chip and special optical design, which can achieve high precision and high intensity UV light irradiation; UV light output reaches 12200mW / m2 irradiation intensity. Using the latest optical technology and manufacturing process, it achieves a more optimized high-intensity output and uniformity than the traditional mercury lamp irradiation method, which is almost twice the light intensity of the traditional mercury lamp irradiation method, which enables the UV adhesive to cure faster and shortens Production time greatly improves production efficiency.

  When the conventional mercury lamp point light source curing machine increases the irradiation channel, the increase of the channel will cause the output energy of a single irradiation channel to decrease. With LED-type irradiation, each irradiation head emits light independently, and the irradiation energy is not affected by the increase of the channel and is always maintained at the maximum value. Compared with the mercury lamp, UVLED shortens the irradiation time of the work and improves the production efficiency.

  Fourth, environmental protection without pollution

  The traditional UV mercury lamp curing machine uses a mercury lamp to emit light. The bulb contains mercury. Because the bulb needs to be replaced frequently, a large number of waste products are generated. It is very troublesome to handle and transport these waste products. Improper treatment will cause serious pollution to the environment. The LED curing machine uses semiconductor light, which does not cause pollution to the environment. Therefore, the use of LED curing machine is more environmentally friendly.

  Five, low energy consumption

  UVLED method is more than 10 times more effective than the mercury lamp method. At the same time, no matter whether the mercury lamp is irradiated effectively or not, the mercury lamp needs to be continuously lit to work, and the power is always in a state of consumption. The UVLED method consumes power only when irradiated, and the power consumption is almost zero during standby.
