Today we will talk about the application and selection of UV lamps in aging test chamber devices. . What is an aging test box? A device suitable for the aging test of non-metallic materials against sunlight and artificial light sources. The fluorescent ultraviolet lamp is used as a light source, and the material is subjected to an accelerated weathering test by simulating ultraviolet radiation and condensation in natural sunlight to obtain the results of the material weathering resistance. It can simulate environmental conditions such as ultraviolet, rain, high temperature, high humidity, condensation, and darkness in natural climates. By recreating these conditions, they are combined into a cycle and let it automatically execute the number of cycles. Its core technology also uses ultraviolet light.

  In most cases, it is only necessary to simulate short-wave UV light. These short-wave UV lamps primarily produce ultraviolet light, rather than visible and infrared light. The main difference between the lamps is the difference in the total UV energy they produce in their respective wavelength range. Different lamps will produce different test results. The actual exposure application environment can indicate which type of UV lamp should be used.

  For the short-wave UV light required by the aging test box, the following types of UV lamps can be used:

  1.UVA-340 ultraviolet light

  UVA-340 UV lamp is the best choice for simulating sunlight UV (light aging). The biggest advantage is that it can simulate the critical short-wavelength wavelength range sunlight spectrum, that is, the spectrum that simulates the ultraviolet range under summer noon irradiation. The wavelength range is 315 ~ 400nm. Its luminous spectrum energy is mainly concentrated at the wavelength of 340nm.

  2.UVB-313 ultraviolet tube

  UVB-313 UV lamp is used for the maximum accelerated test (accelerated aging). The short-wavelength UV used by the UVB-313 ultraviolet tube is more intense than the UV light waves currently found on the earth's surface. Although these UV lights are much shorter than natural wavelengths, they can accelerate the test to the greatest extent. The wavelength range is 280 ~ 315nm. , Its luminescence spectral energy is mainly concentrated at a wavelength of 313nm. This UV lamp is not suitable for all aging test chambers. If you need to speed up the aging effect test, you can use this lamp. Because of its limitations in accelerated aging, it is not widely used.

  3.UVC-365 ultraviolet germicidal lamp

  This UV lamp is mainly concentrated at a wavelength of 365nm. Compared with the general UV light wavelength range, it has a longer sterilization advantage. In the absence of other rigorous aging tests, this UV lamp can be selected.
